Use of Force Certifications
Firearms Instructor
Certification
This
40 hour course will cover weapons proficiency, shooting stances, weapon handling and storage, use of force issues, evaluation
of firing range rules and safety. The three different types of firearm courses, familiarization, proficiency, and tactical.
The use of electronic control targets, metal targets, cardboard targets and how to conduct realistic scenarios. Course contracted through licensed providers. Certified
TCLEOSE Instructor. Initial Certification Fee: $125.00.
Rifle
Instructor Course 
This 24 hour course is for the firearms instructor who is already proficient in rifle handling skills
and shooting skills. We will cover the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship, patrol rifle shooting stances, nomenclature of
rifle, content and development of an existing or new rifle training program. Officer’s will be trained in rifle
handling skills (load, unload, reload, malfunctions, etc.). The use of effective range instruction techniques and target analysis,
tactical use of cover and concealment, low-light shooting techniques under stress, live scenario based training, practical
range exercises, liability, target acquisition, sight adjustment, engagement
of multiple targets, transition techniques handgun-rifle, use of force & case law, decision making and problem solving.
Students must pass a written exam and demonstrate proficiency. Students will be expected to conduct range exercises.

Asp Tactical Baton
Certification
This 8 hour course is designed to acquaint participants with operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton. The training
includes basic portation (carrying), presentation (drawing), techniques, as well as defensive strikes, use of force and report
writing. Certification acknowledges that the individual officer met competency based standard of knowledge and performance
regarding the ASP Tactical Baton. We provide Tactical Batons for Certification. Recommended Re-certification every two years. We are product trainers for

Taser X26 &
M26 ( Electronic Control Devices) Certification
This 8 Hr course will cover Use of force issues, technical capabilities of the (Taser) and its different Law Enforcement
Models. We will discuss the trajectory guidelines of impact, officer safety issues and safety handling and storage of
the taser. Recommended Re-certification
every year. Students are required to provide at least one 15’ yellow cartridge, & one 21’ blue training TASER
cartridges for Certification. We are product trainers for TASER International.

Pepper Spray (OC) Certification
This 4hr intermediate weapon certification course includes instruction in a classroom presentation and hands on
use on chemical agents. The officer will be exposed to a contaminated environment to test their reactions. From a tactical
standpoint officers will be made aware that the use of chemical agents should always be given consideration as a less lethal
force option. Officers will be Voluntarily Exposed to different types of Pepper Spray’s (Defense Technologies Products,
Fox, Sabre, Cap-Stun etc.) And their adverse reaction on individuals. We provide
Inert and Duty Pepper Spray for Certification. Recommended Re-certification every two years. Initial Certification Fee: $50.00, Re-certification Fee: $50.00
Monadnock Straight
Baton & PR-24 Side Handle Baton Certification
This 8 hour course is designed to acquaint participants with operational use of the Monadnock Straight & Side Handle
Tactical Baton. The training includes basic portation (carrying), presentation (drawing), techniques, as well as defensive
strikes, control holds, use of force and report writing. Certification acknowledges that the individual officer met competency

Defensive Tactics
PPCT
This 8 hour Combative course will cover, weapon retention, tactical speed handcuffing considerations on close quarter
combat confrontations, pressure points, striking tactics, combat fitness-using the 30-60-90 Second survival mindset and use
of force concerns. One-officer and multiple subjects cuffing tactics. The use of different types of tactical handcuffing stances.
Knife and Ground Defense Tactics, analysis of types of knives used to commit assaults against police officers. Fitness v.

Scenario Supervisor Safety Certification
This 8 hour course will cover safety issues
with different types of equipment used in reality based scenario training. We will cover the use of simunition cartridges,
weapon conversion kits, distraction devices, Redman Gear Equipment, F.I.S.T. Equipment, Firearm Simulators, Portable Metal
Firearm Targets, Air-Guns, Paint Ball Guns and other Simulator tools. High risk training is essential to peace officers in
order to be able to provide the most realistic, affordable, intense training possible. Recommended re-certification every

This
8 hour course is for the basic practitioner on use and handling of distraction devices. The different types of less-lethal

This
24 hour course will cover relevant commission rules, role identification, values,
ethics, and principles, communication, leadership styles, nine steps of positive counseling liability and civil rights issues,
stress management, planning and organizing, civil rights, racial sensitivity, and cultural diversity, employee rights, the
transition, problem solving using the sara model role playing, situational leadership
and legislative update. Initial Certification Fee: $75.00
Prevention
and Identification of In-Custody Deaths
This 8 hour course will cover in-custody death trends, an analysis on Positional Asphyxia, Excited Delirium, Cocaine
Psychosis, and Use of Restraints for violent subjects, use of force issues, medical requirements, and application of restraints
on violent subjects. Recommended Re-certification

Use and deployment
of Deflation Spike Systems
This 8 hour course will cover deployment concerns for the Defensive Spike System, Road spikes, Stop sticks,
Magnum Spikes and several other models. Officers will be able to identify deployment considerations, such as type
of vehicles, locations, environments and decision making situations. This is a hands on course, officers will be able to deploy

Taping For The Practitioner
This 8 hour course is for the basic practitioner, will cover arrest, search and seizure procedures, Evidence collection
and courtroom presentation, best recording tactics to capture audio and video evidence, case law and constitutional law
requirements on recording devices, proper lighting and vehicle positioning, use of audio/video for field sobriety testing,
use of video for FTO documentation, use of equipment, racial profiling polices and procedures and officer safety. Use of video

This 40 Hour course will cover history of field training programs, FTO selection and training, daily training reports,
standardized evaluation guidelines, evaluation errors, importance of documentation, Evaluation of FTO's, training phases and
guidelines, liability issues in training. We will cover the training and selection of Field Training Coordinators, review
and documentation of Field Training Manual, Selection and review of FTO'S, coordination of staff meetings and the application

This 40 hour course will cover basic teaching techniques, lesson plan preparation, preparing written and proficiency
exams. The use of multi-media equipment, learning deficiencies and issues between adult v. youth learners. We will

This 16 hour course will cover mental health and mental retardation response by police officers, use

Certification
This 40 hour course will cover the use of Bicycle Patrol initiatives for crime prevention, traffic programs and other
specialized programs. We will discuss the evolution and the history of bicycle patrol. Fitness vs. Wellness advantages and
safety issues. The proper mounting and dismounting tactics used more frequently. Proper weapon handling skills will be discussed
and applied in separate shooting scenarios. We will also discuss the proper visible safety attire for bicycle patrol officers.
The pro-and cons in the use of bicycles. The community mindset and perception of citizens towards bicycle patrol programs.

& Drug Breathalyzer Certification

This 4 hour course will cover the proper procedures in field drug testing without contaminating the tests, use of field
tests as probable cause affidavits, case management and evidence collection of field tests. The officer will be certified
in the different types of field tests too include ODV, SIRCHIE, NIK and other models. We will cover issues with new date rape
drug field tests for violent crimes, such as Rohypnol, GHB, Special K, Burandanga, MDMA Ecstacy, Ambient, and other prescription

Meter Model 100 & 200 Certification
This 4-hour course will cover the use of
tint meters for drug interdiction enforcement, S.T.E.P. Programs, regular patrol duties, Texas transportation Statutes pertaining
to the use of tint meters for Law Enforcement, Officer Safety approaches on the “Dangerous car”. For Police, the tint meter effectively gives you "Probable cause in the palm of your hand." Recommended
